Week 10 BES Rankings

FAQ

With seven weeks remaining in the regular season, teams are starting to build momentum toward the playoffs. That is vividly illustrated in this week’s rankings where multiple four-win teams in our Top-20 appear to be revving up for the stretch run. However, we still have well-established contenders who continue to assert their worthiness of postseason glory.

The Patriots (9-0) reclaimed the No .1 spot atop the BES after a Super Bowl-esque, come-from-behind victory on the road over the Giants (5-5) in Week 10.  Meanwhile, the Bengals (8-1), after rising to No. 1 in our Week 9 rankings,  fall back to No. 2 after being stripped of their “Undefeated” badge by the Texans (4-5) on Monday night.

The Texans, however, catapulted up the rankings from No. 18 last week to No. 7 this week. After a 1-4 start, the BES likes how the Texans secured a pair of divisional wins over the Jaguars (3-6) and Titans (2-7) to add to their monumental upset of the Bengals. They host the Jets (5-4) and Saints (4-6) in Weeks 11 and 12 respectively. Those games will further gauge the Texans legitimacy as a BES Top-10 team.

Another sharp-rising squad is the Chiefs (4-5) who shot up from No. 28 to No. 13 after a thoroughly dominant road conquest of the Broncos (7-2) in Week 10. The win completed a three-game streak highlighted by a Chiefs defense currently ranked No. 3 in the BES with a score of 2.80.

The Broncos, consequently, find themselves having fallen to No. 10 from No. 5 after suffering back-to-back losses to the Colts (4-5) and Chiefs. Of note, the Broncos, Panthers, Bengals and Patriots are all that remain of the BES Top-10 that launched our rankings in Week 2.

It’ll will definitely be interesting to see what our top-1o looks like in Week 17.

  1. Well damn! that’s what I’m talking about!

  2. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s great. But how can you have our offense ranked 9th?

  3. Win over Denver….IN Denver was HUGE – Dez

    • Like I said if we could beat Denver our season has really just started. A loss would of ended it really. That was not just a win but a SPARK of things to come.
      Chiefs4life!
      Loud&Proud!!

  4. The game at Arrowhead we were like 38 seconds away from sweeping this series. We shot ourselves in the foot REPEATEDLY and still had chances. This game we BULLIED them all around. Big difference..

  5. The next 7 games are all winnable. Hopefully we just continue the streak.

  6. To many field goals and not enough touchdowns.. It was great to beat Denver though.

  7. The first game with Denver crushed us and it was completely apparent in week three then losing JC just took everything away from us but find west has gave us new live and with winnable games against the raiders and chargers we could go 7-1 in the division not to mention we play the browns too and the bills we be a tough test at home..10-6 could make the playoffs

  8. I hope you right yo! #dontcallitacomeback

  9. But we have to beat SD this week.

  10. Uhhhh this is still the team that lost to the Bears I am a big Chiefs fan but they still lost to the Bears who are terrible. Yes the schedule does look light . The defense should play like they did against Denver the second time they played them every game .
