Week 13 BES Rankings

Our Week 13 BES Rankings features teams in the top-four that might ultimately be the final four in the postseason. The Minnesota Vikings (10-2) and Philadelphia Eagles (10-2) are the current powerhouses of the NFC. Meanwhile, the New England Patriots (10-2) and Pittsburgh Steelers (10-2) seem pre-destined for a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship game.

Accuracy Update

The BES repeated it’s 13-3 (.813)  mark in Week 13 based on our Week 12 rankings . Consequently, our record improves to 116-61 (.655) for the season.  Here’s an overview of how the BES has performed from week to week:

Vikings Raid the No. 1 Spot  After extending their winning streak to eight games, The Vikings take over the top spot in our Week 13 BES Rankings. Among their 10 wins are victories over three BES Top-10 teams – the Baltimore Ravens (8-4), New Orleans Saints(9-3) and Los Angeles Rams (9-3).

Furthermore, The Vikings boast the No. 1 BES Offense and No. 6 BES Defense thus making them arguably the most complete and battle-tested team in the NFC.

Lastly, their remaining schedule appears favorable as they face just one team – the Carolina Panthers (8-4) – with a record over .500. Needless to say, if they continue to play at this level, it’s hard to imagine them not clinching home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

BES Games of Week 14

  • Ravens (No. 7) @ Steelers (No. 4): The Ravens have momentum heading into this one which should be an extremely physical and defensive ballgame.
  • Raiders (No. 15) @ Chiefs (No. 16): The Raiders won the first meeting. Can they sweep the Chiefs and possibly secure first place in the embattled AFC West?
  • Eagles (No. 2) @ Rams (No. 5): A showdown between the top two quarterbacks of the 2016 NFL Draft – “Carson Wentz vs Jared Goff”  headlines a another slugfest between two elite NFC teams.
